In the field of mobile phone screens, LG Display has introduced an upgraded version of the "AH-IPS Plus" technology. By changing the arrangement of the original liquid crystal materials, AH-IPS Plus technology increases the light transmittance by 20% to 30%, which can improve the resolution on the one hand and bright images on the other hand with low power consumption. The 5.5-inch FHD and 5.7-inch QHD products equipped with AH-IPS Plus technology were also demonstrated at the SID site.

Jiang Bingbing, chief technology officer of LG Display, said that the future display after LCD will be OLED. This change will make the display transition from filtered backlight presentation to self-illuminated display. This is another leap in display technology. Due to the self-luminous properties of OLEDs, OLED display devices have the advantages of being able to exhibit perfect black, fast response, no viewing angle limitation, and especially have special advantages in realizing future display technologies such as bendable, foldable, and transparent display. In the future display field, OLED will be the right solution.
